Online workshop (March 10th) and Next Regular meeting (March 18th)

Hi everyone! I hope you are all enjoying this spring weather!

Before I let you know about the next regular meeting, I wanted to post about our short online workshop this Wednesday, March 10th at 7:00 pm. We started this workshop series with a talk with Mike Byneshewsky a month or so ago, and are continuing this month with Gord Ayers as our guest.

Gord is known as ‘the guy with the beautiful bw images’ in our club 🙂
We thought we would continue in the bw theme started with Lee’s talk at last month’s meeting.

Gord will be talking about some of the processes he goes through in creating his bw imagery. I am sure that everyone knows by now, that there is no right and wrong way to do anything, when it comes to expressing your art. And although Lee gave us some wonderful inspiration and tips, Gord will be continuing on by showing us some of his editing methods, and hopefully telling us a bit about what he thinks makes a great bw image.

Watch for your zoom invitation in your email.

Theme: One pic, you edit
We have emailed everyone a dropbox link where you can download one of two images to work on and submit to the theme. Please remember to ONLY submit one edited image (your choice) and submit it before end of day, Sunday, March 14th.

Been there segments by both Maximo Lange and Donna Kroeger.

Field trips shows by Chris for the Henderson Lake field trip and our BW on your own field trips that we hope you went out and tried this month.

Ed segment will be by Wayne Dworknik. Wayne recently entered an online Street Photography contest, and will be going over some of the things that he learned from this experience. Some of it, I understand, may provoke a little discussion on what they consider the definition of street photography.

I think that is it! It should be a full and interesting meeting!
Watch for the zoom link, sometime in the week before the meeting.
